Forever Fun!
I've been out and about all day (some great fun I'll post about later), and so I don't have much time (or energy) to do a long or serious post, but I saw this on the Today Show this morning and LOVED it! What a fun way to start your lives out together and make such a sometimes stressful day so fun and enjoyably memorable!

The Back Seat
We did a lot of backseat riding in Haiti- the backseat meaning the bed of the work truck. Usually on top of bags of rice and beans, shoes, toys, and hygiene kits.
In Haiti most people ride in the back seat in one form or another- whether it be in a tap-tap, a bus, a charcoal truck, or the bed of a volunteer truck.
Haitian transportation- from the back seat at 80 mph.........

Summer in New England
As long and dreary as the winters can be in New England I LOVE the summers. Sorry I've been so sporadic with the posts lately, but the sun finally came to Boston and I couldn't resist putting away the computer and getting outside! I am, however, going to be making a concerted effort to start posting daily again. :)
So what do you do in New England in the summer? Lots of wonderful things- going to the beach, hitting the farmers market, visiting historic places, and.....my recent favorite - berry picking!
And now, what do you do when life gives you excess produce? You see, we have been more than just sun loving beach bums the last two weeks - We've been busy! And I have the fruits of our labor- or rather, the yummy results of laboring over fruit - to prove it:
So far this summer we have made:
Next week we are bottling Peaches, making homemade Tortillas, making Carrot Cake, baking Raspberry Mint English Scones........and who knows what else!

Photo Albums
Hey! Sorry I've been lacking on the "Daily" posts lately- as summer time takes over they're becoming "A few times a week" posts, instead. I have added some links to full photo albums though, and I'll be adding some more soon. They are listed below the quotes. Let me know if you'd like a story posted about a specific photo!

The Blue Bus
While staying with Crossroads in the DR we had a large truck with a cover over the bed and benches built into the side as our main form of transportation. We called it 'The Bus' and it was blue. Very blue. It lacked shock absorption. It was very much an integral part of what we were doing.
And so....... The Blue Bus.
Any other fond memories of the bus?
