I know... 'chapel fire' and 'good news' are not two phrases you usually hear together in the same sentence, but, the good news is that while I was away I received an email from the company (BELFOR) that removed the steeple after the chapel fire. I took photos during the deconstruction and they now want to talk about the possibility of hiring me to photograph their other projects! Yeah! I've never considered construction photography, but I really did have a lot of fun working with them the week after the fire. Good thing they let me keep the hard hat!
Hey Everyone! I got back from the Dominican Republic/Haiti today! This is the first photo I took after I arrived in the DR- a wonderful snapshot with beautiful village girl Raphaella. I'll be posting a series of photos from my trip, as well as a mixture of others. I'm so excited to share them with you!
I'm going back to Haiti and the Dominican Republic today! I actually should be on my way to the airport right now....... I'll post some more photos when I get back on the 28th!
I shot some photos of my friend Malinda's wedding this last May. It was one of the funnest weddings I've ever done- and Malinda and Jeremy were so wonderful! Here are a few of the nicer photos. I have some really great and fun candid moment shots that I'll upload later!
If it won't leave me alone it's no surprise that I'm shrill but to no avail, my shadow follows me still. When sunlight reveals my frown, that only fills it with glee. Yet on a moonlit night it never fails to locate me. Until my shadow appears the only thing that is true appearing in a flash on any wall within view. But increasingly I realise that it is pleasing after all to have such a constant companion, then I recall that the only times my shadow has left me alone have been the darkest times that I have known. And so it fills me with delight to have my shadow about for it completes my world, without a doubt.
Hello Everyone! I've decided that I am really bad at this blogging thing and so, in an effort to improve my sharing skills I am going to set the goal of posting a photo a day. Now, I realize this is not a completely realistic and continuously sustainable goal, as things like internet/computer availability, as well as my bad habit of struggling to form good daily habits, and this wonderfully hectic thing we call life must all at some point interfere. But I thought it would be worth it to try, at least for a little while, and see how it goes. :)
And so, here is your first photo (or in this case photos- as occasionally may happen, as I have so many favorites to choose from) of the day. I recently spent a week on Cape Cod with the Preece's, a wonderful family I nanny for, and my lovely roommate Nicole.
This Day at the Beach
Ocean breeze blowing, feet kick and splash, Ocean waves breaking, on rocks with a crash. Boys finding seashells, girls sifting sand, Friends building castles, as high as they can. I stretch my arms out, far as they'll reach Oh, my what fun, on this day at the beach. -unknown
And here are some fantastic ones captured by my amazing roommate Nicole. Children and sea creatures- pure delight!
